It’s that time of the year! Pumpkin spice is everywhere (yuk!), leaves are changing colors and temps are dropping rapidly. AND…of course open enrollment for 2024 health insurance plans is here! Since 2005 Mutual Benefits Insurance has helped individuals and families navigate their health insurance options. This year is no different and we look forward to connecting with you to make sure you have the right plan for your needs and budget. While there are not many significant benefit changes to most individual insurance plans, rates have change and maybe your needs/income has also changed. Now is the time to review your options.
Open Enrollment Starts Soon…
If you are eligible for Medicare: Your open enrollment is October 15th – December 7th.
If your are an individual: Your open enrollment is November 1 – January 15th. (Please note, you must apply by December 15th for January 1st effective date.)
If you are a business: Your open enrollment is typically based on the anniversary date of when you first purchased coverage, unless you are in an association/trust plan.
Medicare Individuals
Schedule with Sarah Freeman by requesting through our appointment form or calling (206) 709-2619. Please note new regulations require that we record calls. You will also need to complete a scope of appointment form at least 48 hours before our meeting. Here is the scope of appointment link that will be sent with your meeting confirmation. Get Ready to Renew, Change or Update your Application and Coverage:
- Estimate your expected income for 2024. See Income Table Below that outlines income limits for tax credit eligibility. Please note that income is only one factor in whether one is eligible for tax credits. Other requirements include citizenship/immigration status, eligibility for other coverage, taxes filed, etc.
